I think the word you are looking for is foolish rather than brave.
I normally refuse to go point blank no matter what the day because the last 2 time I've been I've got all the way around to the wareshouse to find what I wanted wasn't in stock despite my checking before I set off  (its about 45 mins drive from here).
However, this time I knew that if I didn't go he'd whinge at me until I did and to be honest I can put up with ikea easier than I can a grumpy son (for a start, he can't cook meatballs or dime bar cake):o

    Part of the Furniture
Oooh! Dawnteabag - I'm jealous too! My crafting area is the spare room with my grandad's old dining table which is too tall to sit at & be comfortable. Need time to look for some proper desks as DH needs one too but nearest IKEA is miles away & DH has to be bribed to go at all. Very brave of you to tackle on a Saturday! Lovely cards!

I bought 2 desks that were 150cm long. We're going to put them together along the wall so we have 3m of working space which should be quite adaptable for anything we need to do. I think they were only £28 each. £20 for the top and 2 each for the legs. Have a look on the just pics part of my blog - there's a little piccy there but don't tell "&son" he's supposed to be blogging it tomorrow

Dawn great cards on your blog... I hate Ikea, expecialy when they have a sale on
We live about 10 minutes away and all the roads get jammed up its a nightmare
If I have to go i wait till the kids are at shcool, no sales and go early
My son used to work for a flat pack fitting firm inside Ikea till they went bust so he used to pick things up for me when they had bargain which was great. Now have to battle if I want them
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

Hpe you had a good holiday, npsmama. Had the piggies grown when you got back?

Ikea (shudder!!) thankfully it's nearly thirty miles away but I do admit to creeping in there for craft storage jars when I pass it. I know where they are and get 'em and a mad dash for the exit. I don't know about you but last time it seemed a little bit more relaxed for getting to where ever you wanted, shortcuts etc. I didn't feel so much like herded cattle.
