PCWorld 320gb Toshiba external hard drive (merged)

The thread referring to the PCworld 320 Toshiba external hard drive was probably closed too early, as the offer is available in store for the Jan sales.
I bought one today in a PCWorld and they had about 200 piled up near the door (Manchester Stretford branch), so it looks like there is plenty of stock about

I know we all say it, but I bet we don't do it (I don't get round to it) - back up your hard drive - they do fail eventually

what's the warranty period for the toshiba (from pcworld) and WD (from amazon)? also, do they have fan? i like one that is quiet.

No fan but still stays cool (external power supply helps) to the touch and quiet as anything. Looks good too.

I brought one a day before Christmas Eve, I took it out the box to test and make sure everything was there, and it was excellent, not noisy and as earlier post said, looks nice too.

At 114.99 its a genuine bargain!

Just been to PC WOrld at Meadowhall retail park - they had a stack of 320Gb Toshiba external HDs at £129.99.

When put through at the till they came up at £199.99, but they sold at £129.99 when I squeezed.

Might be worth a look if you are passing.

Possibly not a misrpice as Dixons and Currys have them online at £129.99 and Froogle shows this as the PCWorld price (although on the PCWorld website it does show up at £199.99)
