Chicken bones are very safe to give to dogs or cats, the only bones which are unsafe are the very large bones from grazing animals ( can break teeth ) and cooked ones.
My dogs are fed a raw diet ( as a family, since my grandfather started when he was a young man ) we have never used commercial food for our dogs, their diets have been RAW, never ever had a problem with feeding Chicken bones/wings/necks/carcasses.0 -
I agree that chicken bones can be given to dogs, I'm considering changing my pup over to the BARF diet which as you know includes chicken wings and caracasses. But I'd never give chicken bones to cats.0

MC chicken bones are very soft ( which is why they are such a popular RMB in any RAW?BARF diet ) the only prob I have had with my cat, is that he is too lazy to chew the bones.0

I've tried loads of times to tempt my cats with the smaller chicken wings, they just wont try them, even if I smash them up a bit first, all the more for the dogs though I suppose. They will eat raw chicken and mince though, just wish they would attempt the bones too.
As for raw lamb bones, I love the smell of raw lamb, and after the dogs have had lamb bones the smell that lingers on the fur around the cockers beard smells so sweet, :rotfl: well to me it does. My sister thinks I'm wierd
