I bought this TV from Amazon when it was £378 and a couple of weeks later it had come down to £329. I emailed them and within 2 hours (on a Friday evening) they replied to say that they would refund the difference!! Within another 3 or 4 hours I received another e-mail to confirm that the refund had been processed. Good CS or what :T.
I think I'm right in saying that Amazon no longer offer this price-drop policy.0 -
Quite right they don't. However since my purchase was still within its "return window" I could have returned it and bought at the lower price. That would have been a lot of trouble for both Amazon and me so I guess they were pragmatic about it!I think I'm right in saying that Amazon no longer offer this price-drop policy.
However 50 quid is 50 quid and better in my pocket than theirs.:oNever argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.0 -

Officially that ir right but my sister in law recently bought this tv at £379. A couple of weeks later the price went down to £329. I told her to give them a ring and ask for the difference back. She rung them up and was told that the refund policy had been stopped on 1st of Sept. As a goodwill gesture they offered £5. She said that was not really satifactory and asked to speak to a supervisor. They went away for a minute or so and came back and said as a good will gesture they would refund the £50 difference onto her credit card.0 -

This is a brilliant deal though! I bought a Philips 32" LCD 6 months ago and was undecided about the Bravia or the one I got. It was a lot more money then. Should have waited!Survey/Review Earnings: You Gov: 1275 points, Ciao Reviews: £8.29, Ciao Surveys: £4.55, Valued Opinions: £6.50. (Updated Sept 09)

You might call 1st September 09/01, but for most people on this forum 09/01 is 9th January. Probably better to say 1st September. You're correct as far as I've read, unless there's been another recent change. I believe it went info effect on 09/01 and has caused quite a stir amongst buyers. So buyers beware...

It went up to £379 or more, as commish and fatbelly and colinw pointed out a few posts back... now it has come back down, but not to as good a price as it was at previously...Up?Thanks to all who post constructively.

Yes it's a great telly but the program guide only shows the actual program no extended info so far as I can tell. Does anyone no whether it will display any programme detail?

Enter promo code LOWERVAT in the promo code box at checkout, and it should do the equivalent of reducing the VAT rate from 17.5% to 15% :TThanks to all who post constructively.

good for those wanting to get price matches0 -
Prices are falling steadily. I think they'll get a lot cheaper after Christmas. They must be cheaper to make than CRTs were, so unless you really need one now, hold out till they're closer to £250.
I seriously doubt quality brand 32" LCDs will come down to £250 - why would they??
Even if they are cheaper to make and, this is where their savings are, package and ship, why on earth would they want to reduce their profits even more.
Remember only a year ago people were willing to pay £700 for a 32" LCD - £300 maybe but I would make a substantial wager that they will not be £250 any time soon if ever.0
