If anyone would like to share the optimum settings for the picture watching freeview, it would be appreciated.

It's an excellent telly. My settings are:

    Contrast: 95
    Brightness: 50
    Colour: 50
    Sharpness: Min
    Colour Tone: Warm
    Noise Reduction: Off
    Adv Contr Enhanc: Off

I got these settings off the forum on AV forums.
  • Noticed this offer below ( £599 ) anyone out there got this TV and what do they think, also, silly question, can a Wii console easily be plugged into these new LCD and Plasma screens.

    PANASONIC TH-42PZ8B/A
Great picture quality from this Panasonic Viera 42" 1080p Plasma TV featuring integrated digital tuner, 100Hz picture technology and 2 HDMI connections
I am only trying to help

Nice telly for that price and 1080p plasma too;)

The wii will go into any scart socket of any TV.

P.S. Reminder to all Amazon Sony TV buyers to print off the 3 year warranty PDF, fill it in and send off with copy of your Amazon reciept to get the Warranty. This has to be done within 28 days of Purchase, or else no extra warranty.

The Sony has a third 3 pin input on the side for the red, white and yellow lead, think its called AV 3, this will work;) other TV's should have it too, if not get a wee multiple scart switching box from argos for a fiver or so and problem solved:D

Good point about the warranty. It takes about 4 weeks to come through.

I bought this TV from Amazon when it was £378 and a couple of weeks later it had come down to £329. I emailed them and within 2 hours (on a Friday evening) they replied to say that they would refund the difference!! Within another 3 or 4 hours I received another e-mail to confirm that the refund had been processed. Good CS or what :T

Ironically, before the weekend was over, it had gone up in price again.

Incidentally it is a brilliant TV and still well worth its current price.
Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
