More Than One Yorkshire Bank Fixed Term Account?

so i can get the current fixed rate for 12 months of 6%?
Do have to send the cheque in with the application?
Wouldn't want to send it in and end up with new lower rate when it comes out0 -
Yes, I'm pretty sure that you will get the 6%, if it's in within the next five days, along with the cheque. You could wait until monday, to speak to them on the phone. In which case, you'd have to go to the post office on monday and send your form and cheque by special delivery (approx £5), which would be delivered the next day. Alternatively, you could send everything tomorrow and check on monday to see if the rate has dropped, cancelling your cheque at the bank if it has. I'm pretty sure that the rate will stay the same for the next 5 days though.0

From: http://www.ybonline.co.uk/personal/savings/term-deposit/term-deposit-account-personal-savings (click on the "Legal" tab)
- The rates are variable and the completed Application Form and cheque must be with us within 5 Business Days of the rate last being advertised on the web page. The Bank will not be responsible for items posted that are not received within the required time.

I was thinking about applying for this account but wanted monthly interest which can only be done through a branch.
I was amazed to find 2 branches within a reasonable distance (Piccadilly and Luton) for what I assumed was a Yorkshire bank.
Anyone worried about getting applications to them on time could look on the branch locator on the website.0 -
The rate has decreased today but I printed and posted my form yesterday when the website still showed 6.1% so I'm expecting to get that rate. If they mess me about I won't be happy. Just wished I'd sent it recorded delivery so I could have proof it was delivered within 5 days to get the previous rate. They could so easily lie and give me the new rate.0
