Virgin credit Card

  • Please be careful with that Virgin credit card. I have just managed to get rid of my card and bend it in half. At the end of my 0% rate they whacked the interest up to 29.9%, lowered it to 19.9% when I phoned them and then up to 34.9% 4 months ago.

Talk about taking advantage. I will never get another one of their cards again. Be prepared to move it again in a year so they don't get you by the neck.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the balance transfer to take place once you've been accepted?

    Thanks.

I applied online then got accepted straight away, then within 24 hours received an email confirming acceptance. A few days later received pin number, 2 days later received card with credit limit of £9000, then had to ring to activate the card.

When you register for online banking you can request a increased limit. Look at post #18 about registering for online banking.

Wow £9,000 that's pretty impressive, Why do you think I only got £3,800?
As far as I'm aware I have a good credit rating, have never been in any financial arrears and this is my first and only credit card.

Also you got an email within 24 hours, I still have not had mine.
Do you think I should give them a call?

Id be happy with that for a first credit card, most people get more like 500
