  • Hi Folks
Sorry could not respond earlier,to busy to find time to get on the net.
I have come to the conclusion that it has got to be the router that is the cause of the problems, because both my sons pc have started having the same problem as mine.

The only way this could have happened because we are using the same router.

The problem is still there, so tommorow onmy day off, I am going to carry out above instruction to see if this will hopefully care the problem.
Thanks for all help given. Greatly appreciated
  • Hiya RS,

Back online this evening. Thanks to your help, I'm no longer having the mix of code and top part of pages only.

However, the other problems seem to have developed further. More redirecting and an out right refusal to open google or MSE (my two fav sites!). Any chance of a bit of help please?

  • Have you tried post#47?
  • No... I'm a bit nervous about doing that. Just printing out your instructions incase I get stuck.
We've got a Belkin but I've located the reset hole in the back of it. Willing to give it a try with a lot of hand holding!!!
  • Make sure you have your isp settings - the one's you were sent when you joined them
  • As in IP address?
  • As in login and password - account details, that sort of thing
  • Ah just found dog-eared, tea stained details! Right I'm ready to go.
  • I would also change the router password to something stronger
  • Right, router reset and new passwords too.

Time for stage 2. of post #47
