Looks like that Dead cat Dow has called on another one of its many lives up 1.5%.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0

Yes its an impressive comeback, I dont know how well founded it is so its hard to judge these things.
Just read analysis the markets are correlated to a head and shoulders formation which is bearish however this is a weak indicator comparatively in todays strength (like a minute based double bottom, it doesnt mean it cant switch down tomorrow, etc)
Looks like its going to end up anyway so just tea leaves I guess! If I didn't use the BBC share thingy, and just relied on your posts for market news we'd be up about 200% since March by now.
If you bought a leveraged fund you might get 200% This rally has been never ending, its not really ever pulled back seriously so alot of money could have been made betting that way
The bbc global chart is great for weighing up things, though its still america dominated. One reason I'd never buy a global fund0 -

Just keeping my tough old long lived Dow thread going
This thread is proving as resilient as some stock indices!
It's looking pretty certain that markets are pricing in no more really bad news although not outright recovery.
My feeling is that as a result there is a lot of money to be made by being agressively long or short - either QE etc will work and the problems will all melt away or (more likely IMO) there is going to be a large and nasty 2nd leg of drops for the economy as the effects of crowding out and debt deflation take hold.0 -

I had perfect eyesight when it started !!!
With all these graphs and charts I'm onto my third set of ever stronger reading glasses now !!!!!'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0
