I thought it was quite a nice email at least they emailed an apology, most companies dont bother from past experience! I think most of us knew but still it was worth a shot!!!

I was gutted I missed out on this but I have to say I think Waterstones have sent a fab email. They didn't try & fob people off or lie saying they hadn't any in stock etc. They were upfront & honest about the mistake. That makes a change from most other companies I have dealt with who made a pricing error. Not many are so upfront about it.

I too thought it was a nice enough email until I re-read it and noticed that the second to last line actually reads:

I hope that this does create too much disappointment or inconvenience for you. :rotfl:

:rotfl:I hadn't noticed that. Maybe they aren't so nice after all. Well spotted. Maybe people who have received the email should tell them how distraught they are that the company are wishing disappointment & inconvenience on them lol never know it might be worth a discount on your next order :rotfl:

Someone posted this a bit earlier Faxy Fowler so maybe they hadn't realised the pricing error at that point & were responding to the order? Just a guess which could be completely wrong.
