Well I have just taught myself a lesson, I have read enough of these things to know how it works, anybody mastered kicking yourself in the bum. I should have waited until hers had been despatched before posting on here - aagh! Looks like I am going to be forking out for a set of books.

Just checked my account still hasn't been cancelled(I ordered at 5.30 this morning) just the following message,

"Some / all items have been placed on special order with our suppliers"

Must admit Fifi it did cross my mind that sometimes its better to wait until you have them in your hand because surely the fact that so many thousand orders are going through, would be enough to set alarm bells ringing with the internet staff at Waterstones I hope your sister gets hers as she was one of the first to order

The error concerned was on the Harry Potter Boxed Set, ISBN 9780747593683,
which should be priced at an RRP of £185. For reasons that we are
currently investigating, the RRP displayed on our website was changed to
£6.99. This is clearly a mistake that we have identified only this
morning. As soon as it was identified, we removed the product from our
site.

I regret that we will be unable to fulfil the order at the price of £6.99
and will therefore have to cancel your order. Please be assured that we
have taken no payment from your account.

I hope that this does create too much disappointment or inconvenience for
