Icesave No Emails Received!!!

Am I the only one left who has not received any emails:rotfl:

done all the right things checked spam sent blank emails etc etc etc
finally gave in this am and phoned the UK and what a donke I talked to:rolleyes:
after getting passed from pillow to post of course

anyway in summary

I was told "we are talking to ISP's my reply " you are talking to my ISP in Canada are you ....... err no

he said whatever you do dont change your email addy on the icesave site
he also has not seen the second email and doestn know what is in it????

i suggested i just keep logging in daily and see of the button works
he said OK.....

and siad otherise wairt until december and claim the paper way:mad:

they really havent a clue


has anyone else still not received the first email
and has anyone who changed their email addy been able to get their mits on their dosh yet I wonder?
I found my eutopia tee hee I live in canada yeehaa!

  • I thought people were having more success with changing their address to googlemail, I think the current FSCS FAQs also have some suggestions. Hopefully someone who's had your problem will be along soon.

    I don't remember who; but someone reported in one of the threads that they changed their email and received payment so I wouldn't worry on that score TBH.

    If the initiate button is present you will be ok. :)
  • Oh yes forgot to say, there's nothing in the email you need, it just tells you when your "initiate" button goes live, so you can log on to your icesave account say once a day. Some people are reporting that the button is there but not activated yet, so you just have to try it occasionally, it should work at some point between now and Dec 4th and if not then it's a paper form I'm afraid.

    I changed my email account on the Icesave account and all worked fine - got 2nd email from FSCS to the NEW email, cleared out my account and got confirmation emails to the new email addy as well.

    Still waiting on my wife's accounts, have not changed her email but getting tempted to do it to see if it helps. :D

    Apparently they are getting blocked by ISP's as spam:

  • I have called several times, emailed like a dozen times as well, with no luck. I don't understand why cant post it in the mail - it surely have taken less than the 2 weeks we've been waiting..
    I spoke to my ISP IT dept and they confirmed that the problem isn't from our end but from FSCS...the fscs customer helpline is so helpful - they keep reiterating how many ppl have received their emails which doesnt help my situation at all!!
    They don't even take down your details to investigate or follow up!

    You don't need the emails. Just log into your Icesave account once a day and look for the "initiate" link next to your account
  • Thanks, so why bother sending us emails? Why not just post the notices on the website as they are doing intead of bothering with the whole email process...are they just trying to delay the refund?
