This won't work, this won't delete the registry key causing the the trial limataion.
You've not used RegCleaner have you! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Ive probably used more programs than u've heard of.............
Why is it everyone on this site promotes programs that clean and fix systems, that in the end only have certain limitations........ If every program did as they say, you would never have a problem with a pc, and in the end everyone has a problem, me, you, everyone... If youv'e never had a problem tell us all, because i for one would like to know the miracle software that can keep a stable system.... when the system its self overtime becomes unstable..If you think nobody cares about you, try missing a couple of payments.0 -
Hi
This is what I do,
Start, run, regedit, click ok and you are in The Registry
1. File, Export, find somewhere nice and safe, where you can remember, give a name like reg backup, Under Export Range make sure you click All and save
3. Edit, Find, type in name of program, and wait, it usually appears on left hand side, delete
Seeing as its only a program, it shouldn't interfere with anything else in the reg, If anything goes wrong you can always press F8 on startup, and Last Known Good Configuration. I'm not advising you to do this, I'm just telling you what I do, and as yet I've never had a problem. I would't recommend any program to clean out your reg, as I've never know any that works properly.
Hope this helps

Reg cleaners always co*k up the smooth running of my computer, things slow down, take longer to load and sometimes freezing occurs.0

What's that got to do with anything apart from a dig at another member and a weak attempt to build credibility which you then destroy with the following offering:

The OP is clearly not comfortable with using such programs - the "off the shelf" packages like CCleaner etc at least give some support and can be used in relative safety usually with a positive effect - or are the 12 million downloaders all wrong?

thanks every one for advice given up to now.I think for the time being I am going to leave it alone as the consensus suggests. However if I change my mind at a later date I know I can go back to this thread to help me through it.Thanks again.0

CCleaner is a good little program for having a clean up of your computer. However, it doesn't clean out the registry trees, or registry values left by trial versions of programs. It would not work for what the OP wants in this instance. RegCleaner could do the job, but you would still need to know where to point this to in your registry. This could be dangerous for your system if you get this wrong.
Doing this job yourself would be by far the best method. Once again though, if you do the wrong thing, you could end up with serious problems.
Delving into your registry, whether manually, or using a program is something not really to be recommended. It can be very effective, but can also cause a complete and utter mess of your system. Even if you made a backup first. This would do you no good if you made a mistake that caused your operating system to not load from the outset that needs a complete reinstall. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

I like CCleaner Over Reg Mech as Reg Mech always makes the mistake
of removing the accomp..txt file and then some programs wont open
and then send a report to MS also you would have to restore the registry entries
via the backup facility with Reg Mech which is faulty at best.0
