Nigerian won my auction, 0 feedback was 2nd. Help please

Hi.
Auction 8246221895.
The person who won sent me the usual Nigerian scam email (1st time its happened to me).
Can I just send a second chance to the person who came 2nd? That person has a feedback of 0, and a new Ebayer as of today (but it could be just a new person eager for a 360).
Any ideas please??

with an item of high interest item such as the 360 console, I'd be very cautious and would probably cancel the auction, and relist, and possibly only accept bids from ebayers with certain # of + feedback, unless they contact you.

before offering 2nd chance offer, email your 2nd highest bidder and pull the contact details, maybe even phone them to check then out. But it looks suspicious. New ebayers don't usually bid £400+ on their 1st purchase.

I would agree, but there are definitely people who would join to buy an item such as a 360 after Xmas. I have emailed them to see what they say.

If he complies with your auction rules, you could be OK.
However, if he wants you to ship it to Nigeria & pay by Westetrn Union, you can refuse.

Considering the possible problems, you could ask them to take it outside of paypal and send a cheque?? That would at least save the problems your side.

A similar thing has happened to me today as I have a PSP on ebay and someone registered a UK address today and said the following in an email. needless to say the account was set up and de-activated today, I dont know why these people think they will get away with trying to con people as most people are not that soft so I have had to apply for a FFV to claim my funds back. Now on ebay i have put in place my preferences to block bidders with less than 5 feedback and people who have had 2 non paying bidder strikes within 30 days to cut down on non paying bidders
