Does the player have a make? Or reference a web site?

If you can play MP3's from music ripped from a CD, but not play DRM protected music, there's the chance, as mentioned earlier in the thread, that your MP3 player does not support DRM files.
Maybe if you posted the make and model of the player?Dave. :wave:0 -
Thanks Phantom FF. The device is a Prolectrix BU/SB494790/AIR.0

I had a look around and I couldn't find anywhere that said it played DRM files.
If you can't 'sync' the music files with the MP3 player in Windows Media or they will sync, but the player just skips the files, then I have my doubts that the player will play DRM files.
It's unfortunate that a lot of these players don't specify one way or another in their description.
Sorry.Dave. :wave:0 -
Thanks for trying Dave. I have contacted the manufacturer so we will see what happens.

Hi
You will have to encode your cd's to mp3, if you have Roxio,Nero or Windows media player these will do it for you.
Hope this helps0 -
As wonderfullife says, if you don't want to download other programs, then Windows Media Player can do it for you.
Once you've opened it up, go to Tools/Options and then click on Rip Music tab. Then choose MP3 from the drop-down format menu. Then use the slider to choose the audio quality. Don't go below 64Kbps, 128Kbps is better. Obviously the higher rate you choose, the less songs you'll get on your player.
Try decoding the same song under different rates and then listen to them, preferably on your MP3 player and then do the rest to what you're happy with.Dave. :wave:0
