really need help with mp3 downloading

i bought both my kids an mp3, both different makes.
i bought smoe downloads from the tesco site, and can download them very easily onto my sons mp3.
when i try downloading the same songs onto my daughters it keeps saying error as it starts the download.
is it because i have already downloaded them into my sons mp3 and it wont download it twice onto a different mp3,

i dont understand whats wrong

Probably, why don't you just transfer them from your sons mp3 player back to the comuter and then transfer them to your daughters mp3 player

  • Nice to meet the similarly confused!! Bought my kids mp3 players for xmas a well. Am now fumbling around and have managed to download to both! It might be a format problem with the rogue device. You might want to try and reformat it? Plug the mp3 player into your computer and locate the "removable drive" in My Computer. Right click on the icon and select "format" from the menu and follow the instructions. Once it has formatted, try the music download again.

Not why I logged on though!! Which are the best/cheapest download sites for music? The mp3 players at TJ Hughes finest - not ipod or anything fancy, so I don't want to cough up too much!!

If it's DRM protected music you will have to use the correct application to move it accross. Most likely to be Windows Media DRM. Open media player, Click Sync, Select files, Sync them accross.

Let me know how this goes.

Ok, DRM music is digitally protected which means that it needs to be signed Out to a device to enable playback.

Open windows media player in full mode (ctrl & 1 if your in mini mode), then click Sync - you should see a screen like this http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/images/mp10/onlinestore_purchasedmusic_550x356.jpg (that picture shows the libry but you wnat the Sync tab)- use the drop down menu in the left to locate the track you want to sync accross from your play list (tick them), then click start sync (top left button above tracks your moving).

This will then show a progress bar which will enable you to tell when it's done. The music should now play :)

It could be that the MP3 player does not support Windows Media file .WMA files, if it does it may not support DRM .WMA files. Is the error specific?

Does the player have a make? Or reference a web site?
