I spent the grand total of £1 in the sales yesterday on 5 birthday cards!
I can't tell you how pleased I was, it has to be a first! this site must be having a good effect on me'Butterflies and zebras and moonbeams and fairy tales, thats's all she ever thinks about riding with the wind' - Little wing, Jimi Hendrix0 -
I have spent £60 on birthday pressies from Boots sale online. I have people I don't see but we still do the birthday pressie thing as it is nice to get something in the post. We generally spend around £10 but I have got mine for £2.50 each. So i think I have spent wisely.
I am finding it hard to stay away from the shops because the urge to see if I could get a bargain is there but I like what the previous post said "if you didn't need it full price you still don't need it half price"

After 3 months of frugal living since I started sorting my debts out, and after a very lean Xmas, I had a bit of a major blowout in the Next sale. I got up at 4am, dusted down my one remaining credit card, with no o/s balance, and in 90 minutes spent £360 on clothes  less £75 vouchers I'd had for Xmas. This is usual for me but I'll probably take back about £200 worth. (You have to just grab it while you can at sales time as the changing rooms are closed).
Desperately need some new casual clothes though and haven't bought anything new for 6 months (since the last Next sale!).
Also had a £20 Credit note for River Island which went towards a £36 shop there.

Absolutely nothing, but my son has just walked in with a load of shopping bags declaring he's spent all his xmas money. Going to be an interesting few days now as he had earmarked that money for driving lessons.
Even more remarkable was his face on xmas day when he finally realised we weren't going to buy him a car!
We started money management advice with him from a young age but it doesnt seem to be working. A future board member no doubt0 -
