Thanks for the kind thought, though it'll be a wee while (if ever) before our full savings ever are returned, and a wee while longer before any of us forget this whole sorry event.
Our cheque arrived in the post today. It's a relief to see, considering the lengthy and mammoth effort that had to be mounted by savers and their families, by lobbyists and a too-small handful of determined politicians and church leaders.
Thanks as well to all who contributed to this forum without resorting to snide, unkind or ill-informed remarks, and thanks to Martin Lewis for providing us with the opportunity to speak with one another.

It would be good if, on this day of thanksgiving, those who are in receipt of PMS cheques remembered the really needy people in our world and considered sending a thank offering to Tearfund or Christian Aid.
