Creditors' Committee
I have been informed that a Shareholder contacted the Administrator's office today asking for a contact phone number of the representative of his 'band' to be told that the office could not give that information.
He was also told that " The committee would be meeting in the next two or three weeks and it would be decided then whether that information would be available."0 -

6 Dec. Stormont
Mr L Cree asked the Minister of Enterprise, Trade and Investment to outline the time-scale for the completion of local and EU agreements to facilitate the resolution of the Presbyterian Mutual Society issue. (AQW 2276/11)
Minister of Enterprise, Trade and Investment: Executive, Assembly, and EU agreement to the overall financial package will be required before DETI, acting on behalf of the Executive , puts its proposals to the administrator of the Presbyterian Mutual Society for agreement or otherwise by its members and creditors. H M Government and Executive funding will not become available until the 2011-2012 financial year. This will be progressed as quickly as possible, and the precise timings will become clearer as the implementation process is worked through.
This situation to me is ridiculous.
A proposed draft of legislation on this matter should be addressed immediately.
PCI, the Administrator and the necessary legal advisors should be engaged regarding it.0 -
Agree totally with Betrayed .
Interestingly , some months ago I wrote to Sammy Wilson as well as all the main people here and in London .
Sammy's office sent me a letter saying that the PMS was nothing to do with his office so my letter was being forwarded to the office of the First and Deputy First Minister !
Seems little has changed !
With assembly elections looming perhaps a dignified protest at Stormont
might be an option .
On a local note forum members might be interested to know that when our local Ards Council was asked to support the cause for justice for us PMS savers the motion was indeed passed with Kieran Mc Carthy and Joe Boyle the proposer / Seconder respectively .
I wrote to thank them and told them that it was my hope that if a similar situation occurred in their community they would have similar support from Unionist parties .0 -

Last sentence in today's NewsLetter article.
However, Dr Carson has admitted there are fresh concerns about whether the church would be legally constrained from making a financial contribution to a proposed lifeline.
So PCI are finding a way out. Clever people.0 -

The following questions have been sent to Dr. Stafford Carson's blog.
Dr Carson: You were quoted in the News Letter today as follows: “However, Dr Carson has admitted there are fresh concerns about whether the church would be legally constrained from making a financial contribution to a proposed lifeline.”
Please, in the interests of keeping all savers as fully informed and up to date as possible, would you kindly explain fully what you mean by “fresh concerns”? Who has expressed these concerns? What exactly are the constraints you mentioned? With the £1 million agreed in principle many months ago, why are we only finding out about this now? A clear and candid answer to each of these questions, as soon as possible, would be appreciated.0
