Important that those voting make their own decision.
The way I look at this...and I'm going from memory about the information on the voting forms... there are 2 candidates who list quite clearly their involvement with the church ( elders I think ) and 2 who list a lot more about their 'professional qualifications'.
I know nothing about the elders (?) but am sure that as church representatives (?) they would do a grand job.
However,I believe that the personal qualifications listed by 2 of the candidates would indicate that either of them should be ideally suited to give us a full and accurate account of any meetings they would attend or information they would learn.
It helps that I now know one of them personally and would have no
doubt that he would be a great representative...so I second the recommendation made by Betrayed. :T0 -

Any suggestions as to how one might make a wise selection from among the four candidates standing for election in the "up to £46K" category?
Robert Cairns
James Gregg
William McCall
Arnold Don McClay0 -
My recommendation would be Arnold Don McClay.
He has worked tirelessly and without fees, since this debacle began to restore £ for £ of EVERYONE'S money.
There has been a disgraceful character assassination attempted on this forum by some posters, but Arnold Don McClay has never ceased to work behind the scenes to restore the funds of ALL PMS members.0 -

Is he not the guy who, despite the majority of all members endorsing mutuality in Jan 09, was behind the court proceedings which gave loan holders priority over the smaller savers????? Doesn't sound like someone interested in "Everyone's money" to me.0 -
I believe there are only 2 nominees for the category of claims between £187,001 and £425,000
One is a church treasurer (representing a congregation ?) and the other a private individual (business woman)
Does it state in the forms if the treasurer has any personal money in the PMS or if he's a nominee in this category because he's the church treasurer ?0 -

Elaine Good, one of the candidates in this band, has worked tirelessly since this PMS matter arose to put pressure on Northern Ireland and Westminster Politicans,Churchmen,H.M. Treasury and the Administrator to find a solution.
She visited HM Treasury in London in 2009 and along with saver/accountant Ivor McCandless , Robert Cairns and a number of PMS savers met Arlene Foster, Arthur Boyd. PCI Moderator and Clerk of the General Assembly on different occasions.
She was one of the three savers who met The Secretary of State N.I. and the Under Secretary along with Jeffrey Donaldson MLA MP at Hillsborough in August last. She runs a successful business and is as much concerned about the hardship of the smaller shareholders as those in her own band.
Through protocol the meeting at Hillsborough Castle had to arranged through a Member of Parliament but it was through this person that the meeting was requested in the first instance.
If anyone wishes to speak to Elaine PM me for contact details.0 -

This is one of only two bands in which creditors have any opportunity to exercise a right to vote.
Important that those voting make their own decision.
If I had an opportunity to vote in this band my first choice would be
Robert Cairns.
:TI met Robert Cairns last year through his commitment to helping PMS savers, and would strongly recommend him. I have already cast my vote in his favour.0 -

I would like to support Betrayed's comments. From my contact with her I know she would be as 'good' as her name and would be an astute, eloquent representative for us all, and not only for the larger saver.0
