NI Presbyterian mutual society, Short of funds for withdrawal?

I have been following the forum for quite awhile and it is really my only source of information. I had been paying regularly, but have now decided to stop. #
Our minister on sunday was talking about having faith and trusting God for the future, I feel he is a total hypocrite as he and his colleagues voted to put their trust in money rather than help out the poor in the last assembly. I am a long standing presbyterian, but i will now be encouraging my children to stop paying into the church as well.
The ministers will still have their great pensions and great pay no matter what anyhow.0 -

I am dismayed by all these unveiled threats about "hitting the church where it hurts!" I would think that some of what has been written might even be libellous.
It is unhelpful, ungodly and distasteful. I signed up to this forum to get information, not to be a party to this. Let us put our energy where we should.0 -

Please understand that a lot of us feel let down by Church and State.
I am hoping that there will be a resolution by October.
This week three responsible and well informed shareholders are meeting the Secretary of State (arranged by a Stormont MLA ) regarding the PMS issue.
This is good considering that Stafford Carson has not had a reply to his request for a meeting.
The young minister at the last meeting of the General Assebmly who wanted ministers to donate their 'bonus' payment ( I never knew these existed) to start the fund for shareholders deserves credit.
That same minister came to me when this crisis broke and asked me how he and some of his clergy friends could contribute to a fund of help.
We saw how the clergy at the Assembly reacted. If not by themselves they did it through their representative elders.
At a recent meeting in 1st. Ballymena Presbyterian Church addressed by Ian McGimpsey
Dr. Donal Patton (OC Randalstown) said that when this matter broke HM Treasury presented a possible solution. When they met with the Administrator they found this was not possible.
Perhaps a creditors' committee will find out why.
PCI should realise that they have not only harmed their member savers in PMS but they have discredited the whole mutual finance sector in N Ireland.0 -
I am interested to hear about the planned meeting of 3 shareholders with Owen Patterson. Shareholders have been so unfairly treated by the collapse of the PMS and the Administration process. As things currently stand they will never see their savings.
I wonder if the outcome and details of this meeting will be made available for us to see. Maybe on this forum?0 -

Important meeting on Wednesday with Secretary of State NI.
I have been approached by a BBC journalist this evening asking me to comment on the fact that PCI are going to spend a further 4m on Church House restoration.
I replied with a statement that I was appalled at this news considering that shareholders in PMS have been suffering for almost two years without access to their savings in PMS.0 -
Dear PMS Shareholders and Creditors,
I would like to thank all of you who offered to support candidates to stand for election to Creditors' Committee.
I have one very worthy candidate who would deserve support in the £187,000- £425,000 band. Please PM with any offers.0 -

And this is why I won't be paying another penny to PCI. Disgusting organisation the way they are treating their members.0
