Let all the Presbyterians in the country know how information about their congregational and private money was leaked to an alleged non interested party before them. You have to overcome the natural allegiance to the church to get your money back. You need anger now not supplication and begging someone to help you. You appear to have been betrayed at the highest levels.
It is crucial to get this in the press and media before the General assembly starts next week.
Please note that the Church of scotland is gagging members from talking to anyone about their problem "gay" ministers.
PCI may take a page out of their book and gag members about PMS.

Remember I have no money in PMS I only want justice for the disadvantaged.0 -

I haven't posted anything on here for a while...but believe me, my every waking hour is taken up with all things related to PMS (and yes...I do realise how sad that makes me seem) I've been busy finding out all the plans for next weeks General Assembly meeting... and finding out what I can do to help.
I'm just off the phone from our friend at the Newsletter...who wasn't aware of the information in your post freddiemae,so, thanks for suggesting that he should be contacted...:T...I'll fill him in on the information that has come to light recently on the forum, and also some of the arangements for the General Assembly next week.
By the looks of the poll,it looks like I'll maybe see some of you next Tuesday... IF NOT BEFORE!!

Another link I hadn't previously noticed.
Just noticed on some PMS correspondence from a few years back that the envelope's red "postage paid" stamp/frank (or whatever it is called) includes a prominent "Presbyterian Church In Ireland" complete with PCI bush emblem/logo in same red ink.
Don't know if this continued as recent practice.0 -

Keep your copy -
I have some as well!!!
Really so sad that we have to piece all of this together - bit by bit - when Church House are bound to know all the links and yet say nothing!!!!!!!! Its nearly as if its them and us!
Sooner the Gen Assembly is over the better - in the absence of anything positive from it - at least we know what direction to take then - all this waiting is horrendous and it will be out of our hands and heads for a while - hopefully while the professionals deal with it.0 -
Does anyone know the name of a minister who will be attending the General Assembly, who is well informed on PMS matters, sympathetic to our cause and who would be willing to speak on our behalf.
Perhaps no such person exists.
If anyone has any names please pvt message me.0 -
I've been hearing from a few different people, for a while now, about a 'BIG' meeting that was going to be held in Donaghadee.
At 6pm last Tuesday, I found out that a meeting was being held in Donaghadee at 8pm that evening.:T
I invited myself along and was a little surprised (and embarrassed) :owhen I realised that I'd invited myself along to a (small) meeting that members of the church, with money in PMS, hold on a weekly basis.....they did however, make me feel very welcome.....so much so that I went back again last night.
We got around to talking about the General Assembly next week and all agreed that the opening night - MONDAY - would be a GREAT....and probably our ONLY...chance of getting some media coverage for the PMS.It was decided that rather than HOPING the media would know what is being planned, or SURPRISING the media (and thereby missing out on any potential coverage) it would be a better tactic to let them know in advance what was being planned, so that they would be able to report any news, as and when, it was happening.
Myself and another person left the meeting last night with a list of phone calls to make today to various Newspapers and TV stations.I believe we were 'chosen' because we both had internet and email facilities....that'll teach us to be less 'vocal' at the next meeting we attend :rotfl: !!! It was agreed that a 'press release' would be emailed to the various media contacts.
We both independently spent quite sometime today emailing and talking to various people, and I'm hopeful that over the next few days the PMS issue will start to appear in local media again.:T
It would be really great to have a few people on hand -who plan to attend Mondays opening ceremony - who would be willing to be interviewed for the TV or radio. To have identified them in advance would save the risk of having someone 'unprepared' or' misinformed' representing PMS investors....5 people who've voted in the poll on the forum have suggested that they'd be happy to talk to the media....It would be great if we could find out who there are in advance of the General Assembly.
I'll hopefully be able to put some of the press release on the forum later, but it'll probably not for a few hours because I've to go out now..sorry....

Delegates to next week’s General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland will be confronted at Church House by an assembly of another kind—one that is hurt and angry.
The protesters are mainly savers who are enduring financial turmoil following the apparent collapse of the Presbyterian Mutual Society last autumn. They’ll be joined by family and friends, in support of the action. They’ll be demonstrating on the first day of the annual assembly to demand that the church show greater leadership and compassion over the issue.
With the lack of organised assistance from the Church, savers have had to rely on phone calls, word of mouth and the use of the internet to communicate with one another. It’s through those media that we understand PMS savers in other congregations will join us ( Shore Street PMS Action Group) at the protest on Monday outside Church House. However, at this point we know only of our own determination to be there, along with supporters from Ballymena and Lisburn. We would heartily welcome the support of anyone else who can join us at 5.45 pm Monday, June 1, outside Church House in Fisherwick Place in Belfast
We look forward to a peaceful demonstration and the opportunity to express our concerns to everyone entering Church House for the convening of the annual General Assembly at that time0 -
