The interesting thing about this is that according to Radio Foyle news @ lunch-hour, only Credit Unions in the ROI are potentially in bother. This was said to be because the ones in the North were governed by stricter rules and only ever loaned £15,000 above an individual's savings. So where did the PMS go wrong???????????

    WHAT ABOUT THIS MEETING THEN??????????

Really what are we doing? Surely its time to meet!

I think your meeting is a good idea - I think a lot of people may be getting more comfortable with sticking their heads above the parapet following joylikes2shop's great example yesterday

Worst that can happen is you all have a nice cup of tea and say hello to each other.

I'm not personally involved in this, but can I suggest you approach the Rev John Dunlop for the use of Presbyterian Church Premises, either a Church Hall or even the use of a room in Church House? I would think it only fair that the Church provide premises to help people organise a group to help themselves. It seems that Rev Dunlop is interested in helping out and is a senior member of clergy with some influence.

Saying that, I might be being a bit naive here

Naive or not I think that Bigcammy is just right. Some-times it is easier for some-one on the out-side to state the obvious as the rest of us may not be able to see the wood for the trees.
Thanks Bigcammy, this is why we appreciate both "insiders" and "outsiders" on this forum. :kisses3:
Why should investors be out even more money hiring premises; it is surely the least that PCI can do?
As I live no-where near the big smoke I am not in a position to do the asking.

    Hey.....I've just found this site.....

if you click on todays date opposite the radio ulster box you''ll be able to hear some of the chat from todays session at Stormont.:j (I've only listened to my bit -at around 10 mins -so not sure how much longer it goes on for...)

Thanks, I enjoyed the bit at the very start of the programme where Mark C talked about alcohoool abuse; sounded like he had one too many himself!:rotfl:

I think crazymess has offered to do the asking and organising but wants some reassurance that people are committed enough to turn up.
  • count me in..... although it seems like I'd go to the opening of an envelope:rotfl:

Probably not geographically or domestically realistic for me to think of going but I am sure that I could rely on Joy to do a very good job of taking the minutes and relaying all the relevant info.

As I have already stated previously, i would be only too happy to meet up. :j
If Joy goes, i'd like to be first to give her a big hug for her efforts yesterday. So i will be first in the queue at the door. Let's decide when and where!
As i live a good few miles outside the city i wouldn't be able to ask about a venue but i would be good for some teabags, coffee, milk:coffee: and a few fifteens or toffee squares to sweeten the talk :D:D:D!!!
