This an interesting article from June 2003.....it says that the fund was managed by three full time staff and there were 17 directors! Not sure how may there are now...but 17 seems like quite a high number!
In the Administrator's report dated 12th Jan '09 it states that there are 20 Society Directors. Of that 20, 6 are "Rev", 1 is a "Miss", 1 is a "Mrs" and the remainder are "Mr". The only other person mentioned is the Society Secretary Mr C.F.0 -

"Lord Myners (Parliamentary Secretary, HM Treasury; Labour) | Hansard source The Presbyterian Mutual Society (PMS) is an industrial and provident society registered under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act (Northern Ireland) 1969. The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment in Northern Ireland is the registrar.
The administrator of PMS has said that it is helping the FSA with its inquiries into activities carried out by the firm in relation to the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. The Government are also carrying out a review of the regulatory framework for credit unions and industrial and provident societies in Northern Ireland in association with the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment in Northern Ireland, which is the department with responsibility for these matters within the devolved Administration. This review was announced at PBR 2008.
Both inquiries are at an early stage and consequently it would be premature for the Government or the FSA to offer further comment at this stage."
I cut and pasted the substance of the above link...............interesting, I thought.0 -
I have just been on the PMS internet site www.presbyterianireland.org/mutual/index.html and cannot believe my eyes.
In the top left corner is a PCI logo which as I pointed out before is copyrighted to PCI.
See www.presbyterianireland.org/resources/logos.html
When you click on this logo you are redirected straight to the main PCI website.
So much for a separate entity.
You couldn’t make it up.0 -

Need to keep copies of this.0 -
Mark789,
For comparision an M&G Index Tracker over the last year has dropped in value by around 35% - I'm expecting more than 65p/£1.
Snap!
I had a MLC investment; the loss was approx 35% (if I'd kept it the loss would now be in the region of 42% - I read the 'writing on the wall' and decided enough was enough.)0 -
Need to keep copies of this - should we require it later - if we end up with the man with the wig!!
Just do a screen print for "my learned friend"
