    but at least you can do all the work yourself.. which makes it an education as well as transport! My 2.0 Cortina Mk 5 has cost me (inc purchase, parts etc but not inc fuel, ins, and tax) £850 over 6 years.... does about 40 mpg on a trip and about 25 round town, costs £45 fully comp per year, and apart from a broken cam belt the day I bought it, has had no major probs.... its a bargain in anyone's money!
