it's probably in your recycle bin

download crapcleaner from www.ccleaner.com and run that, it will remove it all for you and a load more !! (safely !)

    go here

    http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

and click on the text by the big green arrow on the right of the screen

when the grey download box comes up click on the "open" button and it will download then start to install the program for you, when it's finished you should have a new desktop icon for it

  • You may be able to free up some space by turning off system restore.. or cleaning up old restore points..

    start run cleanmgr
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?

when you run ccleaner click on the button marked "Run Cleaner" on the bottom right and let it delete everything it finds

You could also use this to get a graphical representation of what's taking up space on your hard drive
  • Hi
You can also reduce the amount of space your Recyle Bin is using, right click on recycle bin, and select properites, here you can reduce how much the bin is using, as I've found it reserves quite a lot.

    Hope this helps

  • Tried CC Cleaner which took off about 60mb(is this enough?)

What operating system are you using? On some of the old systems you had to reboot your machine for the free space to show up.
  • TBH, you don't really have a big enough hard drive to start with. You seem to have a 10gb disk which doesn't leave a lot when you factor in the OS and all other programs. Add a few photos and music files and your free space will soon disappear.

I'd suggest you need install a new drive and relegate this one as a slave for saving files i.e. not the OS or programs.
