i think it's fair to say we will all be running our own race on the day hun... the worst thing you can do is get involved with someone elses pace and give yourself too fast/too slow a run....

My training is going really well.... got up to 5 miles on saturday in 1 hr 8mins, so i know if i had needed to keep going i probably could have. This would have come in 6 miles in probably 1hr 22ish... so on track for my target time of 80mins for 10k....

Now i have 5 miles under my belt, 6 seems so much more achievable....

Shame i have to do a 10k in both April and May before Leeds in June though!!! Still it will all make it easier in the long term!!

Won't be long it getting here i tell ya!

    Hi Beanie :D
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

Because I've realised it's a VERY long way, I doubt I'd be able to even walk it.

Plus, I would then have to make it to the train, with me bag then home from the other end because I cant stay on the Sunday night. I just dont think I'm up to it. I'm VERY unfit you know  :o

You'd all be long settled in the pub, and I'd only be half way round

Spud you put a change of clothes in your bag and then leave with the orgnisers while racing and Leeds train station is very central - I'm sure a few peeps at the event will be going back that way! :D

Dont give up - walking it should take you about 1:30 to 2 hours (moderate walking pace is 6.5 kms an hour, easy is 3.2 ish). So if you put a bit of training in Maz's target will only be 10 minutes ahead of you for finishing - people will want to hang around and relax and chat post race anyway :D

yep, like i said, if you look at last years results online there were ooodles of people coming in waaaay over the 2 hour mark....

and as becky kinda nicely pointed out, you can walk it almost as fast as i run...

You can leave your bags in our room hun... and we'll all be in the pub by 1230 i wager!! and that's with a shower and a change afterwards....

    no excuses babes...

it's 3 months away yet... plenty time to get the walking under your belt... any running in between is a bonus!!!

    PLEEEEEASE!!!
