Stove Glass Popping Out

Hi

We've had problems with the glass on our multi-fuel burner popping out at the bottom and slipping. As the rope was, well, ropey :rotfl: we've replaced it. Still, when we put the glass back and tighten the screws at the top, the bottom of the glass pops out.

Anyone have any experience of this? We're wondering if we are tightening the screws too much (we know glass expands) or if maybe the top plate with the screws is a bit warped - although it doesn't look to be.

We've left the screws a bit loose to try tonight but it doesn't feel like the glass is secure.

Cheers.
