Which PS3?

I would disagree. You will pay a premium buying one with a bigger HDD when you can fit a much bigger one for less money by doing it yourself. Fitting a bigger HDD doesn't void the warranty and there is very simple instructions floating about for how to do it.0 -

Another vote for the cheaper option (not that I'm tight at all you understand
) I went for the cheaper one as we have 2 xbox 360s and a ps3 in the house so went with standalone NAS drives (which are now really cheap) for storage of media 0 -
ok.. just updating.. my mum and sister feel uncomfortable buying me something refurbed, or second hand as a christmas present, (really doesn't bother me as long as it works), so i think we're going to go through reputable retailers..
now, the price difference between the 40gb and the 80gb seems to be anything from 0, to about £30...
now, yeah, i can probably find an 80gb 2.5" drive somewhere for £30, but all the ones with decent packages seem to be the 80gb...
so, if someone could help me now, find the BEST deal... it would be appreciated.. i know i've just missed the 3 games deal at argos, and i'm gutted, as that would have been perfect... the other deal i'm looking at is on play, game, blu ray, remote control... but i'm not keen on the games...
any help, again, is appreciated!0 -
game and amazon both have bundles with consoles at around £298 for 80GB
The argos deal was brilliant and I found it by mistake :j0 -
maybe someone or even argos will repeat that offer between now and christmas, but i know what retail stores are like.. the bundles get worse, as it increases profits... hehe... fingers crossed there is something good in the next few weeks

if you go to your local hmv they often have good deals. they also often let you change the games in the offer if you dont like them.0 -

mr bear...
unfortunately i am based in the Northern Part of this great country of ours.. but if it is a really good deal, i travel around the country a lot. for example, i'm in Welwyn Garden City not next week the week after, and again at the beginning of december, so location isn't really that much of a problem!
go on.. tell me anyway!

Well mr moo I was gonna do you a favour as I can get hold of a cheaper ps3 from work, ahhh the wonders of working at an airport, but if you arent from down this way it would be a tad futile.
happy hunting.
