3 Didnt use my PAC code now its cost me!

Cancelled my 18 month £20 texter plan on 3rd september, took a pac code, gave 30 days notice.

Was told last payment due will be 20th october.

Didnt use the pac code as i took out another 3 account for the phone & tarrif I wanted.

And 3 pacs cant be transferred to a new 3 account.

Didnt think anymore of it, until i get a bill this morning for November, rang 3 & was told as i didnt use the pac code, my account wasnt cancelled & i was still being charged! & if i wanted to give my 30 days notice, i could! Resulting in the last payment being due on 4th jan 2009!!

Is there anything i could do?

You can't have it both ways. Either give notice to cancel or request a PAC.

You can't use your pac code to transfer on the same network, only to another network. Its called a backdoor upgrade and the networks don't allow it.

No. Asking for a PAC isn't the same as giving notice.

How did 3 know what you wanted to do - something could have gone wrong with the transfer to the new network they assumed you wanted the number for, and without your instructions they have carried on with your contract. You need to start the termination process again - if you don't want a PAC, just give in your notice.

You should have asked them to put you on PAYG after the end of your contract.
