Girlfriend bought me a Singstar and Silver Ps2 package from Argos for Christmas, opened up this morning...all the cables etc, but no PS2 :-( aaaarggghhh! Even got the Buzz game as well as we were going to have some fun later on with the rest of the family....!
Not a happy chappie at the moment, I wonder which kind person decided to take it out the box!!!
My local Argos is open tommorow, I'll be there demanding a refund!

That is strange as well as understandably disappointing!
Was all the packaging (foam, card, etc.) set up to hold a PS2 also?"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

I think your more likely to get a replacement than a refund.
I think they will have something in the money back guarantee to stop a refund like "The goods have to returned to us completely as stated on the packaging" (even though they didn't supply them).
Let us know how you get on.I beep for Robins - Beep Beep

Going to be an interesting return!
Although I guess it will be easy to explain if they have had one out on display0 -
Big oops ... did the box not feel a bit light? Good luck

Hi all
Argos shop where I got it from is not open until tommorow. Took it to another Argos and they reckon the PS2 must be knocking about somewhere, but we'll see what happens tommorow!
Box felt heavy ish as everything else cables etc was in there, just not the ps2 itself!
Will report back tommorow hopefully!0 -

I don't want to sound pessimistic but it will be a hard one to prove that no PS2 came in the box - I am sure Argos have fallen victim to a few fraudulent claims like that in the past!
Anyway, GOOD LUCK in getting a refund / replacement :xmassmile !0 -
well in our argos store when i worked there someone on customer sevices didnt check the boxes as she refunded the item and someone had brought a ps2 (old style) and went into the carpark and exchanged it for a brick, brought the box with the brick in place and got a full refund lol
hope you get it sorted ok0 -
sometimes the last 1 cud of been on display, so takre it back to the same store it was bought from. Might not have been taken off display an just given out by some dippy temp. Demanding a refund will prob result in failure tho as they will just say that you have kept the ps2 and your trying to get your money back.0

This happened last year to my brother. His GF had bought him a digital camera from Argos. She wrapped it (without checking), and gave it to him on christmas day. All the accessories were in the box (everything except the camera).
When they took it back to Argos. They didn't have too much trouble getting a brand new (and complete) replacement. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
