Help With MP3 Player

Sorry to bother you on Christmas Day. I got a Logik MP3 player for Christmas which Im dead chuffed with. I operate Windows 98 and I put the disk driver in but when I connect the USB I get a message saying unable to locate driver for this. Ive uninstalled it and reinstalled it and still get the same message. I also now get a message saying unable to locaet W98eject.exe. Ive managed to find out that I need this by doing a google search but can anyone tell me where I can download it from as I cant find it and this might be the problem. If not all advice appreciated. :rudolf:

Edit: Have checked programme files and there is an icon for W98eject.exe but when I click on it nothing happens.

have you got your windows 98 cd rom? you should be abe to reinstall from there

Hi the W98ejext.exe refers to.....
"Related to USB support for Sigmatel MP3 audio palyer (and others such as SanDisk). It's intent is to "put away" the "disk" before you unplug it from the USB port, ostensibly to avoid "losing" data".

You might have unpluged it before you were supposed to.

Have you tried the Logic web site if there is one, they should have a page for you to download the latest drivers.

This is getting really confusing now. My computer does not seem to recognise the driver but when I look in add/remove programmes its there. Now I keep getting a message a start up saying windows trying to locate w98eject.exe file then another message telling me it cant find it. I have tried looking at Logik on the website but there doesnt seem to be an address and a company called Sigmatel provides the chips but advises getting in contact with manufaturer for queries but I cant find a website. Your help would be appreciated got a load of songs I would like on my new MP3. thanks. S.O.M. :xmastree:

if you check my computer and you mp3 player is connected does it show a removable disk or another device? if it does the click on it and hopefully it will let you cut and paste folders of mp3 to it.

At first it says new device checking for drivers then comes back saying no drivers for this. Then when I look for the removable icon device its not there. I keep getting this 'Missing SHortcut' message sayingw98eject.exe is missing!

are you using windows 98 second edition, if i remember only that version covered some usb support, dont quote me on that.
