One should not be too judgemental with respect some posts on this thread, and one has to ask a question why has the OP not returned.
If this is due to the fact the 'meater' has run out, then the situation could be serious.
Suffice that the trappings of luxury 'Internet Access' can be afforded, one could assume something else.
Or the sympathy vote, (I am a single mother) or Child Neglect (cannot budget and feed my children). There is a thin line here, either way, this is not my fault. Unfortunately this is a fact that some think that they do not have to take responsibility for their inability to be able to budget.
What should we do, force people in these situations to receive food tokens, redeemable only at certain stores. One would suggest that this would also fail, the recipient of the tokens using the trappings of luxury to fuel the 'fags and booze' by selling the same on the internet.

I have a daughter who is a single mother, works and gets no money from father. It seems that that working single mothers get little help from the state, I have always encouraged my daughter to work and pay her way, even though it means I am an unpaid childminder and personal loan bank to her. My daughter is very lucky she has all her family near her.
Jess I feel for you, have you no-one to help, talk to?
As far as the OP ....... I've had a friend who couldn't feed her kids, but could afford a night out and an eyebrow wax. I have sympathy for people in genuine poverty, but not for people who just can't prioritise their outgoings.I don't know which camp the OP falls in to. I hope the little ones are ok.LBM 10/08 £12510.74/0 -

You make it sound easy... Registering as a childminder can be a long and expensive process. OH's mum has just finally got registered after moving house about nine months ago, and she's been a childminder for years prior to moving. Expenses mount up, such as this week she's had to get a boiler / gas person in to issue her with a certain certificate, and that visit / cert cost over £150 alone.0 -

Freddie - I fail to see why you would post something, knowing it may be removed. There's a reason for things being removed, and I find your post so unhelpful.
No one knows the OP's situation, but why do people automatically think its not genuine? I was under the impression this forum was all about helping people, but after reading some of the posts I don't think I would have come back if I was the OP, money in the meter or not.
Jess, hope you're ok, please let us know how you're getting on.96 items decluttered so far in 20130 -
