Surely the suggestion made by the OP is advising fraud.

    Thanks for the insightful post.

Maybe I should have made myself clear - only ring sky if you're actually having lip syncing problems (which most do).

It's no more fraudulent than this site advising people to appeal parking tickets and bank charges.

we have had problems with regular sky+ and lip syncing sometimes. it only happens if we fast forward what we are watching and generally something that we have recorded. we fix it by rewinding a little.
i have a question about sky hd. if installation is free when you get multiroom will installation still be free if you already have multiroom?

I dont know anyone who has had problems with lip syncing on HD...we certainly dont...

I've just got HD in the last couple of weeks, a Samsung box and the lip syncing is terrible, the option in the menu to fix this is no use as the sound appears after the lips move so delaying the sound would only make this work.

I need the option of delaying the picture, not the sound !

I don't think the £75 deal is now available. They're advertising normal Sky+ for £99 now. Guess they've cut back on the offer for those wanting to install for Xmas as a peak time for them!

Try the Sky Guy in the precincts - they are still doing the £75 HD deal.:T
A bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't resist.

if you are anything like us, you will get a update over the airwaves that will correct it, within 2 weeks, ours was unwatchable as well, but now you would never have known there was a problem, HTH Dave

That is significantly different to what you suggested/ implied in the OP.
