Mornin......DD Off school with bad throat and cold...She was trying for her 100% attendance but didnt want to go as she felt too ill...That's alot for her cause she loves school....I'm sneezing and full of cold...

Dilemma can I have some advice please..

On Friday we are taking the 2 eldest girls to ToyRus to choose their own items as they are 11 and 12 and we havent a clue what to get them...Original plan was my friend was having LO for couple of hours with her little girl( they are best friends) but my M8 had an accident last night and had to go to hospital..She very badly sprained her ankle and has it bandaged up and cant walk...Obviously I wont be leaving LO so having no family we are taking her with us on Friday.....Do you think it will spoil everything about christmas if she sees us choosing our other girls pressies and what should we say....I just dont know what to do now...Any suggestions

Morning all! Nippy here, so typing in fingerless gloves!

Is ToysRUs close enough to go back to if you need or is it a trek ? (like ours is!). Can the girls make notes and then you go back without LO and get the stuff? Maybe take them round separately, keep LO occupied with you/OH while one girl chooses and then swap?
Last Christmas our eldest was 10 so we had Santa send a letter to him saying that this year he would be too old and Santa couldn't go to every boy & girl otherwise he'd never get it all done, so the cut off age was 10! Our eldest already knew we bought the stuff and played along but youngest is still unaware (I think!).
