Unfortunately, most the breweries except one that I know of near here have stairs. But we might give Dan at Concrete Cow a call and see if we can visit, he's literally about a mile away from us, in one of the industrial units, which I think are all on one floor. Thanks for the idea!:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Afternoon all,
Nothing going on at Mean Mansions to-day, went to Warfarin clinic with Ulick this am and then as usual for breakfast...I just had toast but Ulick had fried breakfast...said that food and his coffee was cold, had tried somewhere new (fancier and more expensive) so I guess that we will be back to usual place next time...I even like the chips there and am not a chip fan normally.
Poor DGS2 had a big upset on way from school....and cried most of the way home! He asked me how long it was to Christmas and I said 6 weeks or 42 days, at which he burst into tears...apparently it is all my fault that it is so far away and that because of me neither he or his friends will have any Christmas...not sure what triggered it but I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time, he was so upset the poor little mite!
OH decided that he was going to buy some T bones and corned beef today.....only €24 something for 2 T bones ( kilo weight) and about a kilo of corned beef which will barely feed the four of us when it is cooked...Ulick has champagne tastes on a lemonade income but refuses to see it, so I just let him pay for these delicacies himself when the desire hits!
Hugs to all in need or want to-day, especially PP if you are in touch Twink, welcome to the newbies, congratulations to all who are celebrating and thank you for being my friends

Many thanks for the curry links and especially to bargainbird. That's exactly what I needed.
We always used to buy dhansak sauce but for some reason they have stopped making it, so we decided to try to make our own. I'll let you know if we are succesful!!
Thanks again.

Good luck at the doctors!!!
Gentle hug to penny Pincher.
Having a quiet cup of tea and browsing till DD(14) comes homeand I try to look as if I have been working my fingers to the bone. DH is at home today so he is browsing on his laptop and we share snippets of info and pots of tea.
Made a brunch of lowcarb sausages and a fried egg in the Remoska and might do a couple of BLTs for DD when she gets home as a treat and then make something with mince for later.
Had seen a pretty locket for DD at Amazon for £7.50 and had it in the basket for a few days. Last night suddenly decided to go ahead and complete the purchase, don't know why.
Today the locket is £12.50 so saved a fiver which may not be much but it all adds up.
Going to visit an elderly relative on Saturday so will miss my "fix" of MSE!

Forgot to mention something DD(19) told me yesterday that might make some of you laugh as much as it did me.
Yesterday there was a knock at the door of her student house and two guys were trying to sell her Sky! DD told them she got a good internet package much cheaper and they looked quite impressed
After a bit discussion and banter with DD not signing up to the service they gave DD a card with a phone number and name on saying if she called their boss he would offer her a job!!!! Seems they were really impressed with her!!!!
All this time we have been telling student Phil that no one will just knock on his door and offer him a job - and it happens to DD!!!!!!"This site is addictive!"

Hi everyone
Am still here! been cooking and baking etc. Took some Twinks into work the other day, first thing I was asked is 'how many calories'
Actually could have told them how many carbs as have a carb spreadsheet for my baking as SD is diabetic and need to know the carbs lol, dunno calories though. Guess if you need to know that, you shouldnt eat them!
Put one of those Mr T's turkey thigh things in SC today, now cold in fridge, will strip it tomorrow and decide what I can make with it.
OH is very hit and miss with his nights out at the moment, not a lot of work, so is very interesting as to what I cook, he tells me he will be out, then I get phone call saying he will be home, adjust menu, expecting him out, he phones to say he will be home, adjust menu again! Thank god for freezers. Although freeze now has so many 1/2 portions in it I can't fit in any bargains
One good thing today, have finally sorted out xmas, we are going down to my family xmas eve till the Sun. Am back at work on the Mon and we will have SD till the next weekend, hopefully OH will not have work. Am very excited about this as 1st time since I moved in with OH that we are going to spend the proper xmas at mine. ~We have done going down boxing day, or after that. Am looking forward to seeing DD and my DGD while there awwwwwwww baby's 1st xmas.

:rotfl: :rotfl: But you know what he'd say....."blah blah blah no-one will offer me a job"...does your DD live in Leeds?! I could do with someone doing that for my DS1!
Mioliere, don't you be working too hard tomorrow in case they offer you the job, unless you really think you need to go back to working away from the home, that is!
Hester, hope a different GP is more receptive. Has anything happened at work yet? Have you still got the extra furniture?
Night folks,
Floss x0
