Copies should be fine but as I say, they can get whatever the want anyway, althoug if you do not wish your employer to know you will need to get your wage slips if asked, he can ask for several years worth of stuff.

Simple, maybe that was not the right word, if the OR has to get a load of stuff as you cannot supply it, that takes time, also if he thinks you took money out knowing fully well you could not repay it, that is not simple either, and he will look at things much harder if he thinks there has been any lies told. Not that I am saying you have. If there is a house involved again that makes more work etc etc.

I think due to my IVA and having not had any credit for 3.5 years due that that IVA made mine a fairly simple case, he just wanted to know what the money had been spent on, but did not ask penny for penny, or keep on about it, and which were loans and which were credit cards. Asked about the car, what it was worth, how many miles I did a week, could I use any other transport, he accepted everything I said, but then I was not lying and had pretty much put it all on why I got in debt in the first place and about my illness and the IVA failing.

  • Well ours isnt that simple, we borrowed money from the money shop to pay for BR so guess we're in trouble for that.
We never had any difficulty paying right up until october when OH lost his job so we were dumped in a situation we never expected. We spent as normal right up until he lost his job. We didnt see it coming and it wasnt our fault.
We have a house but intend on going down the vol-repo route as we have SL. Other than that. Fairly simple I guess.

Why on earth do you shed your payslips, sorry never heard of anyone doing that not with recent ones anyway, I have mine going back 7.5 years when I went back to work after son was in school.

Bank statements he will simply get from the bank, have you got the loan agreements as surely you have not shredded those?

Not sure on the money shop but I do know many people here have borrowed on credit card to pay for BR and it has been ignored by the OR. I was asked where I got the money, by the assistant on the day in court oddly enough, he wanted to know had I borrowed it, I said no, he said not even from a family member or friend I said no the money was my own which was true.

These are questions you will be likely asked, so better to be prepared for that than not be.

Have you got copies of utility bills in case he needs them otherwise he is gonna have to get those as well, which drags the thing out for you as well as him/her.

From what you say yours is not a complicated case then, if you were paying right up til nearly being BR and your OH lost his job the OR will realise that is why you have had to go BR.

Are you the lady who is also a photographer, sorry if I am wrong, my head is in the shed tonight.!

  • Dont know really?? Just dont see the point in them lieing round the house. Didnt see BR coming so didnt see why I needed them.
Ill ring the SL companies tomorrow and get a copy of the loan agreement.
  • No, I work at a solicitors. We havent even missed any payments on anything yet. Managed to get a payment break for the 1st of this month. So nothing has been missed yet.
I have all utility bills Phew!

Did you shred that as well, sorry but as it was still active you should have kept it, it is your proof of the agreement.

I hope you keep your P60s!

Dont worry too much, the OR can get what he needs, he may be peed off to have to get it all, but that is what he is paid for really. It just makes life easier if you can supply things, and I would get copies of your wage slips asap, or he may think you are hiding something which is the last thing you want.

Mortgage agreement have you got that in case he asks?

I did not have all my loan agreements as the IVA people kept them, but he has not asked to see them YET! never say never is my motto, as he may come back and bite me on the bum when I least expect it, so have all the paperwork here in one box MARKED OR If needed!

Keep those bills in case he queries anything, some do some dont, it is only if you have put amounts he thinks are not real on gas electric etc, but most do not query them. Council tax bill have you got that in case he asks.

So what is going to fall into the BR, loans, credit cards? but all have been paid until now, well that may make things easier for your OR then, have you got recent statements for CC etc?
