So just to clarify, you can encrypt some files without encrypting all of them? If so, just what I'm looking for :T0

Good timing this post. My A-data 2Gb just went pop under warranty, so I backed it (I couldn't make it bootable anyhow, so useless for recovery).
This little fella, although half the capacity I had, does the job at a good price and I can attest that this can be made bootable.
(Encryption footnote: Junk the Sandisk software and use Trucrypt which is freely available. It is very secure and is more flexible, working in both Linux and Windows)Colsta

Well, I've just gone to the Amazon web site and noticed that Martin's "The Money Diet..." book is recommended to me. Curious to know why, as I haven't bought any money related books ('cause I can get lots of advice here for free), I clicked the "Why was this recommended to me?" link. It turns out that it's because I bought the SanDisk Cruzer Micro 1GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive. Sound familiar to anyone? ;-)0

Well I can assure you it wasn't me that put the "official insert" in my OP...lol.
If you go to the normal Amazon site and do a search for it it still appears on the page, so must be some permanent ad in the page.0 -
