  • So just to clarify, you can encrypt some files without encrypting all of them? If so, just what I'm looking for :T

Good timing this post. My A-data 2Gb just went pop under warranty, so I backed it (I couldn't make it bootable anyhow, so useless for recovery).

This little fella, although half the capacity I had, does the job at a good price and I can attest that this can be made bootable.

(Encryption footnote: Junk the Sandisk software and use Trucrypt which is freely available. It is very secure and is more flexible, working in both Linux and Windows)

  • Well, I've just gone to the Amazon web site and noticed that Martin's "The Money Diet..." book is recommended to me. Curious to know why, as I haven't bought any money related books ('cause I can get lots of advice here for free), I clicked the "Why was this recommended to me?" link. It turns out that it's because I bought the SanDisk Cruzer Micro 1GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive. Sound familiar to anyone? ;-)

Well I can assure you it wasn't me that put the "official insert" in my OP...lol.

If you go to the normal Amazon site and do a search for it it still appears on the page, so must be some permanent ad in the page.
