CPW cashback undercharged cheque

Options
Hi

I tok out a deal with CPW on BTMobile, which basically was £14.99 for 8months and the rest at £33. The first three months would be charged automatically at £14.99 and i would have to claim cashback for the remaining 5.

By my calculation i thought i would receive a cheque for £95.05 (33-14.99=18.01(x5)) though today i got cheque for £40.05. No idea how they got this figure and the letter doesn't indicate that this is the first of two cheques etc.

Has anyone else had this problem?

  • just phoned the cust services and it was a mistake on their part, and they will send a cheque to cover the remainder (hopefully)
  • I've got this too. Owed £75.03, they sent 2 letters saying that this would be credited to either my next bill or the one after. I've got £44.36 in one and £12.61 in another, totalling £56.97. This is a shortfall of £18.06. I've emailed them and I'll update this when I get an answer.

I've still not received a reply. Vodafone are brilliant with email queries, I always received a reply within 24 hours. I'll keep the email and send it along with any more I get over the course of the contract and put them in writing. Or pop along to my friendly CPW and make a scene.

I had a osps deal where they sent me cheque for 56.66 instead of 70 - phoned them and was told their error and replacement cheque would be 2 weeks. Chased a month later, cheque was 'in process'. Still waiting 2 weeks later, will soon be time for next claim...
    I think....

Same thing happened to me with e2save - received £40 instead of £104 and on 2 phones so actual shortfall of £128. Spoke to customer service and as promised received a cheque for the balance.
