    any info on replacements ?

probably cost another £10 on postage for replacements and youd need another set while they swap them over

If there is a Lidl near you, they are doing wipers at three quid a pair. Don't be put off by price, they're really good, been using them on various cars for years. Far better than Bosch, for example.

Trouble is, that on nearly all modern (5/6years old) cars, the fittings are all being changed so that no one manufacturer can do a 'one size fits all' replacement anymore. Old cars, yes maybe.

Most seem to offer the little bit of plastic that are supposed to act as adapters

Definately not an option with the VAG aero versions, and have seen some wierd contraptions on Jap motors too!

I used to sell a non-silicone version of these (exactly same design) about 10+ years ago, they never sold well and even when I put them on my own Mk1 Fiesta XR2 (nice car!), they lasted about 6months but were smeary and poor.

Ok then tell us the best wipers for non smear & non squeak.

TBH, im not sure these days. The ones I used to sell were standard rubber like most now. Silicone may have solved that issue. The aero blades that VAG use (and that I have had on my VWs for 3/4years) have never squeaked or smeared. Have had them leave a line before, but just needed a quick clean and then good as new. I bought them for my Mk4 golf and sold the car with them on, still working well. My current Passat has had them fitted and no problems there too...

Placed an order, I'll post when they arrive with whether I think they're worth it.

I called their sales line and was told it should be possible to transfer the rubber blade to my existing Bosch frame (as they don't have a spoiler blade frame for driver's side) but I'd need to leave it in their frame for the lifetime replacement.

Also (slightly less attractive) there's a £2.50 P&P charge for any lifetime replacements required and you're also responsible for sending the old ones back afterwards. I guess provided they last as long as they claim, it should still work out cheaper.
