Hey,
I have been with :mad:madasafish:mad: on there broadband service for 3 years now, so i suppose you could call me a loyal customer. I am now on my 4th 12 month contract with them and have about 5 months left in the new contract, but i want to leave as there service has become very poor and not what i want anymore. I want to leave via MAC code but they are telling me i have to pay the remainder of my contract out if i want to leave. Is this correct or are they just trying to scare me into staying. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Chris

There is recent discussion on this very topic in the maaf questions thread.
They have been pushed to publish their retention ts + cs (as they seem to be making them substantially different to their standard (published on their website) contract ts + cs. They claim they can't as everyone agrees different terms when they stay for extra periods!
Their standard contract does not tie customers in for 12 months, yet in cases like yours, people find them saying they are tied in, though no-one has reported seeing their minimum 12 month terms for people staying on after the first year.
They did originally say that should you want to leave before the 12 months were up, then they would only want the discount which had been allowed repaying, but seem to be reneging on that.
Ask them to provide you with the terms which show you agreeing to buy out the contract which they say you agreed, and take it from there (if you never were given them, then you cannot have agreed them!)0
