Hi i'm trying to connect my PC to my LCD TV by using the monitor cable but I keep getting the message "Out of Range" on the TV.
The problem is it used to work but all of a sudden it stopped working.
The Graphic properties on the PC has been lowered to 60hz Refresh rate and resolution set to 1021 by 768 but its still not working.
My LCD Tv is a Sony 26U3000 model.
I dont have any other way to connect to TV at the moment as the PC is about 4 years old and does not have a video card.
Thanks

Does a picture show during loadup - ie after the POST screen, and then go blank? If so, try pressing f8 during startup and choose enable VGA mode.0

What were the original graphic settings when it DID work?:idea:0

What were the original graphic settings when it DID work?
The original settings when it did work were the settings that were stated earlier. I dont know what I have changed that could have cause this prob.
Would it be a setting on the tv? I have tried going through all different settings on the tv too0 -
Well the tv will only accept 'standard' settings (Normally)
1280*720
1920*1080
50 and/or 60 Hz:idea:0 -
Lower than that that's Full HD try 800 x 600 first.0

The lowest is 60hz and i have tried both 800x600 & 1024x768 to no avail.
I'm sure its something silly but its sooo frustrating0 -
Did you try the ones I put or not?

Look along the F keys (i.e F1, F2, ....) at the top of the laptop's keyboard for one that looks like it has an image of a monitor or similar on it. Press fn + this F key to cycle between laptop display only, laptop display + external display, and external display only. Maybe it's been accidentally put to laptop only.Russia is HERE0
