ING - anyone still with them?

Apparently ALL the Heritable bank depositors - as none on here appears to be trying to get their money out - but it was a good fix rate (6.85) and didn't allow withdrawals in the term. The Dutch economy is eaqual rated with UK (AAA) but is perceived stronger and ING has already had 10billion euros to strenthen capitol ratios which is an indication of support from Dutch governemnt. So there are the facts upon which to base your own devision.:cool:0

Have just checked my ING account (formerly KE) to see the rate has dropped to 4.46% gross so have moved it out and looking to find a good home for it0

I have left my KE deposits with ING (£57K approx). I have my own reasons for believing them to be safe. Firstly I do not believe that Alistair Darling would have placed our KE deposits with a dodgy institution and secondly the Dutch Government having recently put 10Bn Euros into ING are highly unlikely to let it go to the wall. Rates? Well these are tumbling about our ears at the moment so I am not going to chase a few pounds by moving from account to account. It would be interesting to hear the views of some of the many "original" ING depositors i.e. those that took out accounts with them rather than those that had their Icelandic money put there for them.anyone happen to still be with ING? and are they safe? I know they`re under Dutch Deposit Guarantee Scheme (100,000 Euros). I`ve done a search but the search function doesn`t work because ING is only 2 letters.
I`m sick to the back teeth of looking for savings accounts that both have a decent interest rate and internet banking that`s hassle free (unlike Tesco etc) and penalties (like Abbey).
Just want something relatively straight forward to use with compeitive interest rate(6% is okay, I know its variable)0
