ING - anyone still with them?

anyone happen to still be with ING? and are they safe? I know they`re under Dutch Deposit Guarantee Scheme (100,000 Euros). I`ve done a search but the search function doesn`t work because ING is only 2 letters.
I`m sick to the back teeth of looking for savings accounts that both have a decent interest rate and internet banking that`s hassle free (unlike Tesco etc) and penalties (like Abbey).
Just want something relatively straight forward to use with compeitive interest rate(6% is okay, I know its variable)

Been with ING for two years and have some fixed term deposits there. Not too concerned as to their safety at the moment but who really knows?
Birmingham midshires have some good rates I opened an e-Saver Account the other week currently offering 5.99% AER but could of course drop because of 3% rate. Easy to set up all done within a week0 -
I don't want to sound pedantic but ING is three letters not 2! and search does work using ING.anyone happen to still be with ING? and are they safe? Personally I would not save a lot of cash with ING, I do have 2 accounts but each has only a few pounds in them, £8.00 total, if I understand it correctly ING uses the passport system, and since I am embroiled in the Icesave fiasco I will only now save with institutions that offer full FSCS protection.
Having said the above my gut feeling is that ING are safe and not to be compared to the likes of Icesave.

As my Nick suggests I have a fair proportion of savings tied up in Icesave, and I'm also wary of Passport schemes.
I agree ING probably shouldn't be compared to Icesave. I only have a small proportion of savings there, but intend keeping my account open in case they offer some good fixed rates again in future.
Also found their Customer Service very good on the one occasion I've had to phone them. British accented staff if you know what I mean;) and got through without being on hold for ages (more than can be said for the good old Post Office!)0 -
Take a look at this http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/saving-and-banking/article.html?in_article_id=454383&in_page_id=7 might help you decide, then again?0

I'm still with them. Of course, my last two savings accounts were Icesave & KE . . .0

I pulled my wad out of ING after the icesave fiasco. They have emailed me a few times and now written to assure me of how safe and securevthey are. Icesave did that too. Having said that,i agree with others in that ING is not to be compared with Icesave.0

I still have my mortgage with them so feel free to all withdraw your deposits and make them go bust
