Which networks still provide a WAP service?
I was wondering if anyone knows whether we can still use Vodafone WAP? I know for certain that Orange no longer support it and quite a few of my free minutes end up goign to waste. I am about to take out a contract but vodafone website is down at the minute! Yes I mean WAP, the one where your phone dials a mobile number, not GRPS, as I will have a load of spare mobile minutes!
WAP is supported by: Tesco
WAP is not supported by: orange, I was told by CS although http://setuporange.wdsglobal.com/wap says it is still supported????

WAP? I think you are misunderstanding the terminology. WAP - Wireless Access Protocol - is fine and dandy on all networks except 3. The connection to WAP pages uses GPRS, but your reference to 'dialling' makes me think you mean CSD (Circuit Switched Data) and you could access this as an alternative - but the WAP standard, a pseudo-cut-down Internet service is alive and well.0
