Transferring files - easy transfer cable???

    like ormus said - all you need is a crossover ethernet cable - just plugged into the ethernet ports of the each laptop. then go through the network setup wizard so you can file share between the two

    START > My Network Places > Set up home or small office network.

    Once you have set it up - find the folder you wish to transfer - right click > properties and select sharing option. (a small hand should appear under the folder/file icon).

    to access the files go to START > My network places
    and the new network should appear in there.

    USED A USB MEMORY STICK TO TRANSFER FILES FROM OLD TO NEW COMPUTER:j

    I MUST BE THICK, THE TRANSFER WENT THRU OK, BUT I KNOW CAN`T FIND THE FILES I DOWNLOADED:confused:

    DOES ANYONE KNOW, WHERE I CAN FIND THESE FILES...I AM USING VISTA.
