It sounds to me like they only looked in My Documents, and your files were saved elsewhere. In fairness to PC World they can't be expected to check every single folder for what might appear to be personal files.
To be honest it sounds like it was a tiny step from what you'd done already to copying them over yourself. But it sounds like everthing's done now.0
