Hey,
Just turned my desktop on and it keeps getting the Bllue Screen of Death memory dump!!! Tried running an avg virus scan but couldnt finish as 'crashed' again.
It says IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL if that helps.
It had been happening every now and again over the last few weeks, but nothing serious so ignored it, now its doing it within a couple of minutes of turning computer on...even if I dont log in.
I have: Zonealarm Firewall
AVG Free antivirus
Windows Defender
Please help

looks like a driver or failing hardware issue, possibly connected to an ATI video card?!
if you do have an ATI graphics card, download and install the latest driver for itUtinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -
even though i havent changed the ATI video/graphics card from the factory original??
I havent added any new hardware recently...updated the ram last january but thats all.Never knock on death's door, ring the doorbell and run away ..... he hates that :mad:0 -

Managed a system restore, this seemed to have solved the problem for about 24 hours.
Now whenever I turn it on within a couple of minutes it goes to the Blue Screen again, or if it stays on I am unable to access the internet.
How do I go about updating the ATI Graphics Drive? However im sure I have a GeForce graphics card.Never knock on death's door, ring the doorbell and run away ..... he hates that :mad:0 -
Go to http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html . You will find a list of graphics cards down the left hand side. Select the one for your card (install and run 'Belarc' to identify your card), then select your operating system from the panel in the middle of the screen.
Most video card drivers will warn you if they don't support your card.
Alternatively, sign-up to 'DriverAgent', I did, & have used it on several computers to download and update the hardware drivers (unlike some sites, all the drivers are the corect ones for your hardware).Never Knowingly Understood.

perhaps consider what is causing the death of your video card drivers( if indeed they are the fault) within a 24hr timescale
open the case and check all fans are clear and turning when powered on, keep your fingers clearclick here to achieve nothing!0 -
Have gone onto Drive Agent, and its told me I have 13 out of date drivers (must be the cause of my problems) but is saying to update them I need to to pay around £20!! Not exactly what I was hoping to do (as this is a 'moneysaving' site) Is the payment necessary for these updates??Never knock on death's door, ring the doorbell and run away ..... he hates that :mad:0

Right I went on the Nvidia website and upgraded the driver through that (as I have Nvidia card) So far not crashed so seems good.
However the Drive Agent still tells me I have 12 Out of Date Drivers, how would I update them?
They are: wireless keyboard and Mouse (HUman Interface Devices)
IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
Wireless LAN USB Dongle
Realtek Ethernet
Realtek High Definition Audio
Intel 82801GB/GR LPC Interface Controller
and it seems 5 of my USB ports arent working properly (well according to DirveAgent)Never knock on death's door, ring the doorbell and run away ..... he hates that :mad:0
