My daughter has a old PAYG orange mobile, and for her birthday she is getting a new Samung D500 PAYG, is she best to swap her sim card from one to the other, or should she register this phone as though it were her first phone. Any tips/advice appreciated as i don't know much about mobiles thanks. :santa2:

she can put her old orange payg sim in (if she wants to keep the number) and phone orange cust services and register the phone to that sim, then if it gets lost/stolen they will bar it0

It is best to register the existing number on the new SIM supplied in the new handset. By doing this, any credit will be transferred across and also any user preferences i.e. answerphone settings etc. The new SIM will be the latest version supplied by Orange and will probably have a larger capacity for the phone book entries and also the number of SMS messages that can be stored on it compared to the old SIM.
