Buyer not willing to pay..What to do??

    Why else would she want the receipt?

    There are three reasons someone might want a receipt.

    1) To use the warranty in future.
    2) To prove it isn't fake.
    3) To use in an insurance claim in future if lost.

    However as others have said she should have asked up front.

    I ask up front and if I know I that I can't use the warranty then I price my top bid accordingly as it's effectively got no warranty.

    Couldn't you ask for the receipt from the place where you won the competition?

    I would have thought that you are entitled to the accompanying documentation to allow you to use the warranty.

    It might be honest to volunteer the information about the lack of receipt but as a buyer I would be a bit suspicious that the item could be stolen.
    I think you will not get such a good price mainly because the item has no valid warranty.

    You won the prize, so ask for the accompanying documentation.
